Notes
As of 2019, slated to close in 2028.

This facility sends its coal ash to a nearby landfill in the town of Pines, IN.

For years the landfill leaked toxic waste from the coal ash -- including arsenic, aluminum, copper, lead etc. The leaks contaminated ground and surface water in the Town of Pines and resulted in residents taking legal action against NIPSCO (Northern Indiana Public Service Corporation).
