Water Source: Missouri River
Notes
Unit 2 cos t$630 million. Unit 2 releases one tenth of the pollution emitted by unit one. The two stations consume 135 train cars of coal every 20 hours. Unit 2 is "carbon capture ready". It burns Powder River Basin Coal. The plant was paid for by a 40 year bond, rates will increase to pay off the construction costs.

The third unit proposed at this location appears abandoned. Instead of constructing another coal unit, OPPD is considering a wind farm.
