Pulverized Coal-fired boiler with a heat input of up to 1,304 MMBtu/hr. to produce up to 900,000 pounds of steam pounds per hour. The steam is routed to a steam turbine, which will drive an electric generator  to produce a nominal 113 MW of electric power.

According to Sierra Club, since operating Hardin Generating Station has violated its air permit limits and has been fined $400,000.
