Located on on west bank of CT River across from Basketball Hall of Fame, north side of water treatment plant, south of Memorial Bridge.
Co-combusts wastewater treatment plant sludge and fats, oil and grease (FOG) with MSW.

2019: sold from Covanta to Community EcoPower
4/12/2022: closed when Community EcoPower went bankrupt and incinerator sold to F&G Recycling, a division of USA Hauling and Recycling, and site converted to a transfer station

1985 Built by Vicon/Enercon, & Fluor Corp
SRR LP sold facility to eco/Springfield (subsid of EnergyAnswers Corp of Albany NY) in July 1999. This meant the end of put or pay contract. Covanta bought it 10/2007.
