Address

Sandersville, GA 31082
United States
Latitude: 32.98
Longitude: -82.81
Water Source: Ocenee River, and aquifers
Cost (in millions): 2000
Notes
In May, 2009 four of 10 membership cooperatives pulled out of this project. This included two of the biggest stakeholders in the project.

To be located Northeast of Sandersville. Local residents are worried about this proposal as it would require 16 million gallons of water/day from the aquifer when the river is low (it is already low).
Public hearings are expected in the late summer/early fall 2009.

Don't know exact location, map marker marks center of Sandersville.
