Notes
Tamarack planned to build a biomass plant in Pittsfield for between $100 to $175 million. The Massachusetts Technology Collaborative (MTC) loaned pledged $249,000 for predevelopment activities. But in March 2009 Tamarack sold the project for $1 to Doug Crane and Stephan Sears (Crane & Co.)

All the fuel would come from a 50 mile radius.

The project looks all but dead. There is no news of this project since 2009.
