Notes
This company took the trash incinerator ash from the largest incinerator in the U.S. (the Delaware Valley Resource Recovery Facility in Chester, PA). They would shake the ash off of the unburned metals to sell the metal for recycling. Originally based in Fairmont, WV, they were kicked out of that town due to pollution they caused, and relocated next to the incinerator in Chester (their only client). They operated without a permit for about two years (because there was no permit for that sort of operation). They closed once they were given a permit by the PA Department of Environmental Protection, because they couldn't meet the permit's conditions, such as enclosing the facility be repairing the hundreds of broken windows in the delapidated hanger they were using, which failed to contain the toxic dust from the ash.
